This video covers a little bit more about EMDR for those who are interested in exploring it.

I first experienced EMDR treatment in 2004, at a time when its effectiveness in treating trauma wasn't widely recognized and CBT was the preferred method.

Having experienced the benefits of EMDR firsthand both as a client and a therapist, I strongly advocate for its recognition as a standard treatment option for clients seeking reprieve.

However, while I do find EMDR valuable, I ensure it's only one of many routes for care available. Good therapy understands what is comforting for one, may not be for another.

I am also versed in other trauma specific modalities. So, together, we'll figure out what approach feels right for you and gives you the support you need.
